Hey, so on my computer (I have Windows 10) I had a problem of it turning off (no lights, nothing) after about 10min of inactivity. This was weird because under the power and sleep settings I had the option of never turning off (for both plugged in and battery) selected. Finally, after a while of going through every single setting in the power options, I found the cause. A setting for hibernation under Sleep, had somehow been turned on for 9min of inactivity (this happened after a computer update). So, if you are having a similar problem, try this and see if it works for you; if not, I hope you find the solution to your problem soon :)
Here's how I did it:
1. go to "Settings"...click "System"
2. in the left column select "Power & sleep"... then, in the right column, under "Related settings", select "Additional power settings"
3. click "Change plan settings"
4. click "Change advanced power settings"
5. scroll down to "Sleep" then, "Hibernate after" and adjust the time either to "Never" or the certain amount of inactivity time you would like to activate hibernation. Finally, click "Apply" at the bottom of the box to apply the new settings and then click "OK".
